Emphasizing Science & Arts
9Magic Apple school began over 39 years ago. As former PVSUD educators, we strongly support our local public schools and feel our unique program enhances the total education experience of our students. Among our most important goals in developing our program was to design a curriculum that would inspire life-long self-directed learners. At Magic Apple another major emphasis is on social development (many of our projects involve working within a multi-aged group). We are also very proud of our high interest classes (Greek Mythology, Animal of the Week, Heroes of History, Science, Performance Arts (drama, dance and music). During recess we also offer cooking and art projects, P.E. games, basketball, tetherball, a lifelab garden and a wonderful outdoor stage--all within our acres of apple orchard--the perfect end to a busy school day!
Character Education
Each year, Magic Apple students are able to participate directly in special learning experiences designed to promote important core values--leadership, responsibility, caring, fairness, and citizenship. All students are involved in student body elections, class meetings and services projects that benefit the local community and beyond. Many Magic Apple alumni often continue to hold leadership positions in middle school and high school with their strong speaking abilities, self-confidence in front of groups, and desire to improve their communities.
